Atlantis takes 1st and 2nd at Grenada World 7s

For the 2nd year in a row, Atlantis mean and women play in the finals. "It has been a great week. Old and new friends. Amazing players and coaches and friends and family," said coach Chris Ryan.

Caribbean 7s in the Spice Isle of the Caribbean

With humble beginnings in Trinidad in the 1980s, the ‘Caribbean 7s’ started out as an annual tournament, primarily with local and regional competition. It continued until 2010, when it was revived by a group of rugby enthusiasts and the help of the Tobago Rugby Club.

The newly-named ‘Rugby Barbados World 7s’ then enjoyed four years of success, breaking exciting new ground for the sport of rugby in Barbados (and world-wide) in 2018/2019 when it was staged at the world-famous national cricketing venue – Kensington Oval.

With last year’s move to the ‘Spice Isle of the Caribbean’, the tournament was a resounding success and the 2023 Grenada Rugby World 7s (GRW7s) will continue to strengthen the synergy between sports and tourism, and sports and entertainment, by providing teams, officials, and spectators an expanded event ‘experience’ with something for everyone.
