Virginia Commonwealth University
Founded in 1973 and reformed in 2001 after an inactive period, Ram Rugby at VCU is a sport club managed by the student members. The Club provides an opportunity for students to learn or improve their rugby skills, an opportunity to compete, and an opportunity to enjoy the benefits derived from engaging in physical activity and the socialization aspects of their sport. Additionally, the Club is committed to promoting the growth of rugby within VCU and the state of Virginia.
VCU is a member of Division 2 of the Cardinals Collegiate Rugby Conference. In addition to conference competition the Club usually competes in the Ructoberfest at Appalachian State, NC, the Cherry Blossom Tournament in Washington, DC, the Monk Vaughn Sevens Tournament and the James River Christmas Sevens Tournaments.
